Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were once Hollywood’s most famous couple. The pair shared news of their split in 2016, and went through one of the most public breakups in recent memory.
Now, a Hollywood producer is offering them a blank check to get back on screen together.
Page six Reportedly, producer Danny Rossner raised nearly $60 million to entice Jolie and Pitt to work together again. According to the producer, the film has been his passion project for the past 20 years and is inspired by a real-life story set in a hotel in Cannes.
Pitt and Jolie have to play lovers one more time.
“There’s a love scene,” Rossner explained. “It’s also a hot scene. It’s not sultry but there are very heavy love scenes.”
He revealed that if the actors agreed to the project on the condition that they would not spend any time together on set, Rossana would make the necessary accommodations.
“Then [the scenes] will disappear,” he said. But they are definitely important for character development.”
Jolie and Pitt have publicly avoided each other
In the past year, Pitt and Jolie have premiered films. She starred in “Wolves” with George Clooney while she starred in “Maria”.
The films coincidentally and awkwardly premiered at the Venice Film Festival, where organizers had to ensure that the two did not cross paths and their films premiered on separate dates.
“Angelina will be on the first day, Thursday, and she will leave right after,” said festival artistic director Alberto Barbera.
“Brad will only arrive in Venice on Saturday. They won’t be able to pass each other at the Lido.”
So while Rosner might be tempted by the idea of hosting an onscreen reunion of two of the biggest movie stars and ex-lovers, it’s unlikely to happen no matter how much money they’re paid.
