Former President Bill Clinton Taylor revealed her new appreciation for Swift after attending one of her “Eras Tour” concerts in Toronto, Canada last weekend. Clinton shared her experience during Monday’s episode of “Live with Kelly and Mark,” where Kelly Ripa asked eagerly, “Confirm or deny — did you see Taylor Swift over the weekend?”
“I did, I did!” The 78-year-old responded enthusiastically. The audience was then treated to a clip of Clinton dancing in a VIP suite at the Rogers Center while Swift performed her iconic hit, “You Belong With Me.” Clinton explained that it was her first time seeing the 34-year-old pop phenomenon perform live — and she left the concert fully aware of the buzz surrounding her. “I get it now,” he said. “I understand why he has such an effect on people and why these young women are so fascinated.”
© Kevin MazurThe former president didn’t hold back his praise, marveling at Swift’s stamina and dedication to her fans. “He’s not like a lot of people who do concerts,” he said. “He’s three hours-plus straight. I mean, straight! He’s just singing and singing, which I think is very respectful of the audience.”
Clinton attended the concert with his wife, Hillary Clintontheir daughter, Chelsea Clintonchelsea’s daughter Charlotteand a group of friends. Seeing the multi-generational crowd sing along to each song left a lasting impression on him. “I was impressed to see the crowd of our kids, especially my granddaughter, standing there with the wife and daughters of a friend from Chelsea 20-plus years ago,” Clinton shared. “They were all there singing, and they all knew the words to all the songs.”

And we didn’t, but you know, venues are so Big, you need to go backstage at the football field.”
Swift’s “Eras Tour,” which kicks off in March 2023, has been an unparalleled success, drawing fans around the world to witness her career-spanning performances. Clinton held one final show before the tour ends in Vancouver next month.
