Since Felipe de Marichaler moved to the United Arab Emirates in February 2013, where his grandfather King Juan Carlos resides, Doña Elena’s eldest son’s life has undergone significant changes in many ways. Fully settled in Abu Dhabi, from time to time he returns to Spain to stay with his family and enjoy a few days of rest in our country.
That’s exactly what happened this weekend, where we spotted the 26-year-old heading to a special bullfighting festival with her mom and sister Victoria. This was the charity bullfight that took place this Sunday in Madrid’s Plaza de Vistalegre on behalf of the DANA victims, an event that saw a mass attendance of around 13,500 people in the arena after ‘no No Tickets’ sign was hung.
While taking their places in the stands to witness the solidarity celebration, the Infanta and her firstborn left us some important pictures, where she wrapped her arms around him for a few seconds and held his hand, to which she responded with the same gesture. An endearing picture of affection that is not usually seen in public, as both are quite calm in their demeanor in front of the camera.
A scene that undoubtedly shows us how Felipe VI’s sister misses her son when he leaves to live more than 5,600 kilometers away. Even though he wants the best for her and knows that she feels very comfortable in the Persian Gulf country, that doesn’t mean that when she arrives he wants to take the opportunity to spend as much time together as possible and send her all his affection.
A very emotional afternoon in Vistalegre
As for the development of the show on the sand, it has been a particularly emotional afternoon as it was intended to alleviate the effects of the terrible and deadly cold drop that ravaged the Spanish Levant a month ago. Among the events that were scheduled, the legendary Valencian singer Francisco wrapped in a ‘seniera’ sang his country’s anthem with great feeling.
With an audience absolutely dedicated to the cause, who also observed a minute of silence in memory of the deceased, the right-hander Enrique Pons – dressed in mourning because he is also a native of ‘Terreta’ – Sebastian Casella , José María Manzanares or Alejandro Talavante, among others.
Well-known faces such as ‘El Juli’, presenter Ramon García, influencers Pablo Castellano and Tomás Páramo and businessman Pedro Trapot also did not want to miss the event. Regional president Isabel Díaz Ayuso headlined the event along with former bullfighter Miguel Abelán, director of the Community of Madrid’s Center for Bullfighting.
