Austin Butler Patrick Bateman has been chosen to play the desired role. The ‘Elvis’ star is about to perform Luca GuadagninoBy this new interpretation of the book ‘American Psycho’ Brett Easton Ellis. After speculation about who would be the best actor for the role, Variety confirmed Austin’s involvement in the upcoming production.
Jacob Elordi, Nicolas Alexander Chavez and other stars were rumored to be in the casting process. However, the part eventually went to Austin, who has been involved in multiple high-budget blockbusters over the past few years.

As reported by Variety, the upcoming movie “may have a larger erotic emphasis than the original horror satire” and the new Patrick Bateman may be a completely different character from Bale’s portrayal.
