BBC Breakfast’s Carol Kirkwood divides viewers as she returns to studio after absence

BBC Breakfast viewers began commenting online after Carol Kirkwood's weather forecast on Wednesday.

The show marked a return to the studio for the meteorologist, who had spent the previous two days broadcasting live from the Chelsea Flower Show.

“Good morning Carol, your smile has brightened a dark gray morning. Looking fabulous as always,” wrote one, while another said: “Shame about the weather…”

Carol disappointed many viewers when she said: “If you don't have rain then you'll have quite cloudy skies with some showers,” but she promised sunny conditions would return before too long.

Carol's previous absence

BBC Breakfast The presenter recently returned to our screens after a break and fans expressed their concern for the star when she was not feeling well.

The star was charming and fabulous as ever as she presented the weather forecast, but fans couldn't help but notice that she was feeling cold.

Other viewer comments included: “Do you have a slight cold Carol,” and: “Good morning Carol, it looks like you have a slight cold, hope you're well.” The fan favourite actress' health has become a topic of discussion just two days after she returned to television following a brief hiatus.

There's no doubt that the star enjoyed some time to relax after a busy few months, her writing career continues to go from strength to strength and Carroll and her longtime partner, Steve Randall, tied the knot late last year. They got married in an intimate ceremony.

The star tied the knot last year

Speaking about the big day, when she tied the knot with her retired police officer boyfriend, who is 13 years younger than her, in front of a “very small” guest list at Cliveden House, the Scottish star said: “It was very small and intimate so you didn't have to worry that Aunt Nelly didn't have a glass of sherry in her hand. You know, that sort of thing.”

Carol is a crowd favorite

Carol described her wedding as “perfect,” despite the fact that she may have been worried about the weather. “There was a hurricane! Hurricane Gerrit, can you believe it? But we didn't even notice it,” she said.

Wasting no time in gushing about her big day, Carole said: “I can't tell you how wonderful it was. You shouldn't really talk about your wedding like that, but it was blissful. It was romantic. It was perfect. And I wouldn't change a thing about that day.”
