Coleman Domingo Had a great time during his latest special appearance Jimmy Kimmel Live Show Hollywood star Michael Jackson showed off his incredible dance moves in the last episode of the talk show, including his signature move, the moonwalk.
The actor spoke about his experience as Michael’s father in the upcoming biopic, describing Joseph Jackson as a “huge character” to portray. “That has to be the best part? Michael’s dad!” Jimmy told Coleman that he had revealed that they had finished shooting the movie.
“I think he’s an interesting character to portray,” Coleman explained. “You mean play him?” asked the host. “I play him complicated,” the actor responded.
The pair also spoke about Jafar Jackson, who plays Michael in the biopic. “He’s a revelation, Jermaine Jackson’s son.” Coleman continued, admitting that she was “an incredible performer,” he added. “She has the most beautiful heart. She sings, she dances, she’s exceptional in her own right.”
“Seeing him in rehearsal made me sad. There is something divine about the way Jafar channels his late uncle. His talent and the embodiment of Michael’s essence is simply on another level,” Coleman previously said in a statement.
“I met the Jackson family while we were shooting,” added Coleman, sharing his excitement about being a part of the upcoming movie. This isn’t the first time the actor has talked about his experience playing Michael’s father, as he told People that he was looking for a “complex version” of him.
“Right now I seem to be on the way to interrogating some of these real-life people. I want to find their humanity, I want to find their heart and their humor. It may sometimes go against public opinion, but I think it’s my responsibility to find the uncomplicated version of these people,” he said at the time.
