Donald Trump’s granddaughter got to experience something that most 17-year-olds can’t live without. Kye Trump, daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump, was accompanied by her grandfather Elon Musk and many of America’s most infamous political figures during SpaceX’s Starship launch.
Kai shared the video on his YouTube channel, which has over 500,000 subscribers. The vlog is called “Watching a Rocket Launch at SpaceX with Elon Musk!” and opens with her speaking directly to the camera.
“I’ve never seen anything like it. And when the noise was going up. Crazy!” she said, wearing a black T-shirt and some jewelry as she stood by her grandfather and some of her most trusted advisers at the SpaceX base.
“And I asked Grandpa, ‘Will you go to it?’ And he goes ‘no,'” she said with a laugh.
Kai Trump arrived at the SpaceX base in Texas on Force One, the private plane Trump owns and uses to travel around the country. He was accompanied by a friend, as the two of them walked around the plane and showed visitors its features, including several TV sets, a large bed and plenty of couches for guests.
The pair then try some TikTok dances to pass the time and talk about their day.
Trump and Musk miscommunication
After they arrived at the SpaceX base, Musk was seen wearing some sunglasses, talking to Trump and other people as they patiently waited for the rocket to launch.
Musk was seen explaining what was going on to Trump and Texas Senator Ted Cruz. “It only comes back to the ground if everything is very green. And then we had some concerns about the tower so it was ordered to land in the ocean,” Musk said, adding that the launch did not go as planned.
“Amazing,” Trump said as he shook his head, misunderstanding the exchange.
