“That may have been a bit of hyperbole,” Kerry said with a laugh. But then he shared the truth, “I’m back in this universe because, first of all, I get to play a genius, which is a bit of a stretch.” He then stammered before admitting, “I bought a lot of stuff, and I need money, frankly.”
Carrey made Forbes’ list of highest-paid actors in 2011 with $20 million per movie at his peak and a reported net worth of $300M, so this moment has many intrigued.
The Golden Globe winner has a huge fan base and is considered one of the most talented comedians of all time, so if he needs money and starts doing more movies again, a lot of people will welcome him with open arms.

Speaking to ComicBook.com at the premiere, when asked which role he’d like to bring back, he said the Grinch under the right circumstances. “Oh, gosh, you know, if we can get the Grinch out,” Carrie said. “The thing about it is, on the day, I do it with a ton of makeup and can barely breathe. It was a very painful process.”
The promising actor said he got through it by focusing on the kids, but with the new technology, he doesn’t want to go through the pain again. “The kids were always on my mind. ‘It’s for the kids. It’s for the kids. It’s for the kids.’ And now, with motion capture and things like that, I can be free to do something else in this world,” he said.
