Mayan will act in the supernatural film The AviaryJoining the previously announced cast Breck Basinger, Elena Kamporis, Dylan Walsh, Tony Pierce, Evan Ross, Marissa Reiss, Teri Polo, And Faye Dunaway. He is also an executive producer, according to Deadline.
She shared the exciting news on Instagram with a screenshot of the deadline announcement, writing, “I’m super excited to announce that I’m making a movie!”
The 28-year-old actress was particularly excited about working with Academy Award, Primetime Emmy Award, three Golden Globe Award and BAFTA Award winner Dunaway. “And if I can’t get excited enough, I get to star with the iconic and incomparable Faye Dunaway! I can’t wait to join this incredible team. Let’s get awesome,” he continued.
The plot is under wraps, but according to Deadline, she’ll play Aimee, who runs a spiritual bookstore alongside Dunaway’s character Anastasia. Anastasia is a spiritualist in town who “serves as a bridge to the light, coming to the aid of Crystal (Bassinger), leading her to the revelations behind her cousin (Kamporis) and his dark secrets.” Written and directed by Alexander Garcia, the film began production in January in West Virginia.
George’s film was the first and last movie Mayan acted in Mr. Troup Ma, which was released in 2009 when he was 13.
Mayan’s road to success
Mayan has been around the arts and is a comedian and trained improviser, but his acting career took off in 2020 when he started sharing videos on TikTok, talking about his daddy issues with his famous father Geroz. The video that changed everything shows him turning upside down, reacting to the man who attacked his father.
