Former World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev has stated that veteran duo Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are “irreplaceable” within the Indian group throughout codecs and known as them “similar to Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni”. Kohli introduced his retirement from T20Is after taking part in a match-winning knock of 76 runs in India's thrilling win within the T20 World Cup last towards South Africa. Kohli's relentless dedication and fervour for the sport has made him the second-highest run-scorer in T20Is, behind Rohit, whose retirement marks the tip of his illustrious T20 profession throughout which he amassed 4231 runs in 159 matches as the very best scorer within the format.
Rohit additionally holds the document for many centuries in T20Is, with 5 to his title. His T20I journey started with the primary T20 World Cup in 2007, the place he was a key participant in India's maiden title win. And, as captain, he led India to their second title, cementing his legacy.
