The second season of “Wednesday” is nearing its release date. Today, it was announced that the series has wrapped production on its second season, with the showrunners teasing some of what viewers can expect.
The Netflix series premiered in 2022, quickly becoming one of her biggest hits and taking Jenna Ortega’s career to new heights. Series showrunners Al Gough and Miles Miller discuss the series’ second season and how it will introduce the show’s universe.
“This season, Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries and old adversaries, leading her into another year on Nevermore,” they told Tudom.
Aside from new characters and situations, they assured viewers that the new season will explore more of “The Addams Family,” the series that inspired “Wednesday.”
“We look forward to exploring more Addams Family lore, and are excited to introduce an eclectic lineup of incredible new characters.”

“Our goal this season was to discover some new faces as well as invite some acting legends we’ve always admired to join Jenna and the gang at Nevermore,” Miller and Goff explained. “When we survey our assembled talent, we couldn’t be more thrilled. Mission accomplished.”

Details about the new season are being kept under wraps, with the series showrunners describing it as “dark, kooky and mysterious”. What will happen specifically, we’ll just have to wait and see.
